Hello Ra students this is your dorm leader bringing you your next assignment do next week

the assignment is pretty simple i want you guys to write a paragraph on the difference between the two spell card's

Forbidden Lance and Forbidden dress

now the two spell cards effect are very similar but yet there's a difference in there effect's

all you guys need to do is explain in a brief paragragh the difference in there eff and explain why there so different

a simple task for you guys this week.

the difference between forbidden dress and forbidden lance is that when you use forbidden dress the equipped monster looses 600 atk and it can not be destroyed by other card effects even if it is a monster's effect. on the other hand when you use forbidden lance the equipped monster loose 800 atk and it is unaffected by other spell/trap cards, monster's effects can affect it.

that is true but there is also the fact that lance can be chained to a trap wich target's your monster, were with dress you cannot chain to a monster being targeted by an effect (spell, trap, monster effect ) because its written on the card that the monster targeted by forbidden dress cannot be targeted or destroyed by other effect's...therefore if a monster is already being targeted by an effect you cannot chain dress to that monster...

in short forbidden lance can be chained to a monster being targeted or not targeted by a spell or trap.

Where forbidden dress must be activated before your monster is ever targeted by an effect

example: lance can be chained to bottomless trap hole or smashing ground

dress cannot be chained to bottomless trap hole or smashing ground because your monster is already being targeted by an effect,
hence, bottomless or smashing ground

wich is also why most player's would prefer using forbidden lance over forbidden dress
